Hi, I am having trouble with klonopin protracted withdrawal. I finished taking Klonopin in April. I started tapering in January from 2mg. I am having terrible heat sensitivity and burning skin.

A great place to start would be to read through The Ashton Manual This is a wonderful resource written by Dr Heather Ashton, who is an expert in the field of Benzo Withdrawal. Please also note that since you have only been off Benzos since April, that would not be considered protracted. Protracted withdrawal is only considered when you are still experiencing debilitating symptoms 18/24 months after your last pill. It is very rare and does not happen to many people. What you are experiencing is very normal. It is called the Post Acute Withdrawal Phase. http://www.addictionsandrecovery.org/post-acute-withdrawal.htm  It generally gets better month by month with bumps along the way.

Hi Roger ,

  Welcome to BB.  I'm fairly new to BB myself.  I have been tapering from Klonopin for a month now.  How long were you on your dose?  If I understand your taper you reduced fairly quickly which could be attributing to your symptoms.
