Neurontin (gabapentin) during ativan-taper?

Does neurontin help with withdrawal?  I feel like it helps a little with the shakes, and i am wondering if a higher dose might be better

I thought that it helped with my sleep.  I was only taking 300 mg.

Me too. Only 300mg bedtime. Helps burning and sleep.

I had a dreaded dental appt. today and took 900mg. beforehand, and I made it through alive.  I take higher doses on an "as needed" basis.

When my doctor stopped this med in rehab i thought i was going insane.  I don't know how it works exactly but it definitely calms me down.  My anxiety is so much better.  I take 300 mgs 4x a day.

It is really helping me.  I now had two mornings in a row where i didn't wake up vibrating and shaking.  I took neurontin years ago for bipolar 2, switched to lamictal at some point.  I had no problem with the neurontin tapering, so i am hoping it will be fairly easy again, once i am done with the ativan taper
