When do withdrawal effects stop?

[...]

Recommended Posts

Since I gave up (temporarily) & went back to my original .5 dose of K, I had thought the withdrawal symptoms I was experiencing would be gone.  Not so!

I took my .5 tablet on Wed night but suffered panic & anxiety attacks from around 3 am on, despite having taking the K just a few hours before.  Same thing last night!  When can I expect these things to be gone.  I've got balance problems & a non-stop headache in addition to the night time panic & anxiety. I stopped BECAUSE of those & they're still here!

What gives?

This happens to some people.  They reinstate, but get no relief (or at least no immediate relief).  I have no idea if/when the pills will work like they used to work.  I chalk it up to the kindling effect which is as variable in individuals as benzo withdrawal symptoms are.  There's a fair amount of refereed (journal) info on-line regarding kindling during alcohol withdrawal.  I'm guessing that benzo kindling is similarly based, but that's only my guess.

I guess you either wait for your reinstatement to take effect or get back on the tapering wagon.

"When do withdrawal effects stop?" Hon, that's the first question I plan to ask when I die and go to heaven......The next question will be the Bermuda Triangle.  Bets
