antibiotics for strep throat?

Which antibiotics are safer to take during recovery? I know to stay away from the fluoroquinolones, but are there any people have had a 'good' experience with?

Strep needs to be treated.  There will always be some people who have reactions to antibiotics but I was able to tolerate the z-pack and amoxicillin (until I had an allergic reaction, unrelated to benzo withdrawal).  I believe both of those are effective for strep, I did have strep a couple of years ago.
