To Everyone dealing with the horrific, scary and traumatizing debilitation of Ativan...KEEP up your spirits and the fight. It's very clear that it was a HUGE mistake to take or be taken by the drug. I'm LIVING today without a thought of the hurt but with the joy and thankfulness to be found in kindred spirits such as the moderators Juliea, Piano Girl and River Wolf and the very strength to be found in dealing as positively as I could through out this process with others on the BB Board. A huge shout out to "you know who!" Your online communication and thoughtfulness made such a difference in the process.

 

As many good wishes as I can muster for everyone past, present and future who learned the hard way that BENZOs are horrible.

I'm thrilled to read this.  What a strange coincidence because just yesterday I was wondering how you were doing and I was certainly hoping for the best.  It is truly amazing to live life without benzos being front and center, occupying every moment of the day, isn't it? 

 

Thank you for coming back and posting this message of inspiration and of hope.  Our members need a good regular dose of both to get through the rough spots.

Great to hear of your success. I too, am at just over 9 months out and doing well, though not 100%.

 

Yes, ativan is one hell of a dangerous drug. Far more dangerous than I could ever have imagined (and this is coming from a neuropharmacologist, lol).  All the academic study on these compounds could never prepare one for the true horror it possesses.
