Use of SSRI's in Benzo withdrawal.

I was placed on 10mg of Paxil to 'help' with my withdrawal from Klonopin.

 

During the last 4 months I've suffered really itchy skin, especially my hands. Itchy skin is a side effect of Paxil and also a symptom of Benzo withdrawal.

 

I am starting a really slow taper of the Paxil to see if it helps.

Has anybody else been on this combination of drugs?

 

I have also looked at a Paxil website but could find no references to what I am experiencing.

I think that the benzo withdrawal itching is more of a "psychological" itch so it may very well be a side effect of your antidepressant. Hopefully someone with a more helpful response can post here heh, sorry!

I am on Lexapro, i feel that without it i would be depressed.

I am on propananol. It has been helpful for anxiety, sleep and migraines.
