can't go on

Don't feel like I can hang on anymore. No sleep or just micro sleeps for 5 days now, lots of anxiety (over life issues), emotional numbness, scared to live like this anymore and scared to die.

Don't feel like I can go on.

From your signature it seems like you are about 6 months off.  I felt much of the way you do at that time. I often worried and wondered if I would ever stop hurting and feel well again. I'm sorry about the sleep, we all have our own withdrawal demons, mine didn't happen to be insomnia. I had other very strong and debilitating symptoms though. What I can tell you is you will get better and it's so worth waiting for the healing to happen. Yes, there are times feelings discouraged but even during those times, the healing is happening.

Take it one moment, one day, one week at a time. Let your sensitive cns recover, it will.  One thing that helped me was to accept that I needed to go through this process.  Have patience and know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, a bright one.  Hang in there.

I am sorry you are feeling so badly, but pianogirl is right. You have to take this one moment at a time. I, too, suffered from extreme insomnia, so I know the nightmare of sleepless nights. I went one stretch of 9 days without sleep. I was hallucinating by day 6. It was horrific. As awful as things are they will improve. You will get better and there will be a time when you get your sleep back. I am 10 months off and sleep pretty good these days. Hang in there. My best advice is to distract.

Hi Misty, if PG is correct and you are six months off, you are likely getting close to things getting better. Hang on. One day at a time. I know it's tough. You can do it.

Thank you for your replies. I am just so far from the person/mother that I was. What these drugs do is devastating.

very devastating. we deserve so much better than this. i felt like you did. i felt like i could die from this and i was scared that i would and then when the pain and discomfort was horrific i actually wanted to. but then it all will just lift, you will see. :)
