4 months off Klono, and 5 off multiple opiates & other benzos.  Feels great!  Wish I didn't still have muscle cramps and nerve pain, but it's manageable.  My back muscles are cramping now, dang that hurts.  Legs are much better.  Brain is better, sleep is better.  Less OCD & anxiety.  I can get out of house and walk around some.  We went to an October Festival Sat, and a car show.  Didn't walk long, but nice to feel like a human being again!  My energy levels are still low, can't wait to be the real me again! :D

You go girl!

Thanks my buds in this  living hell, we will persevere!!

Kickinit, I love your baby <3  I have a female Cairn, she's 15.  Looks just like your baby.  Toughest, sweetest, most contrary varmit ever! :D  Lost my boy who looked like Toto last fall to kidney failure, think it was those chicken jerky strips :'(  Tougher than going through this.  Still miss him! <3

Congrats on being 4 months off. I am so happy that you are feeling "great". It is awesome to hear that your symptoms have become manageable and that once again you are enjoying life. Just think how great you will feel at 6 months out!

My baby is 14 and still going strong. Did you know that Westies are simply the white variation of Cairnes? A lot of people think they are white Scotties. Not so. Hope you are having a good day. I had two window days recently. One Saturday and one Monday. Today seems ok so far!

Yes, I knew.  They were bred out of Cairn's 100 yrs ago.  Only other difference is Cairns if groomed correctly keep both their coats, while Westies are shaved, so lose their wire hairs.  I've always groomed both of mine, hand stripped their coats, but my female's coat was ruined.  she was in a puppy mill and they had to shave her to get all the ticks off her  :-\  It's taken all these years, but the stripping is bringing it back.  I've had 4 Cairns.  I lost my first 2 boys in a car wreck I was in :'(  They are precious babies, so smart, so sweet, so stubborn, lol

So glad you are having windows  :D  I've been hurting, had a really good week last week, but these muscle cramps are about to drive me nuts!  They are better than they were even just weeks ago, but tired of them

CONGRATULATIONS MountainGirl :) :) :) :)

It's great that you're still moving forward

(I got some inositol )  Thanks,  :smitten:

Graylake :smitten:  some ppl say it keeps them awake.  I take L-theanine, it seems to help that aspect.  Has it helped you at all?

Hugs, MG :smitten:

Hi MG,

I take L-theanine at night with tart cherry. Hoping the inositol will help during the day.

I had a great 2 week window, back to blah land, hopefully not four long. :therethere: :therethere:

It sounds as though the 4 months out group is doing GREAT !

Gray, that's right, I remember about the tart cherry :D  That you had a 2 week window is a GREAT sign! :D  Most I've had is 4 days, but I'm very slowly improving.  Just stupid muscle cramps and nerve pain getting me down.  I wish more ppl would talk about how long they lasted.  I know not everyone gets them, but man, they have been horrid for me.
