Muscle aching after taking my dose

[SC...]

Recommended Posts

I notice that my muscles ache and burn more after I take my dose.  Is that normal? Makes me wonder why i am tapering or perhaps I have an unrelated neurological issue.  Maybe I should just jump if it's not doing anything for me.  I am taking 0.25 at night and 0.125 during day.  Going to 0.125, 0.125 tomorrow.

I wouldn't jump at that dose if I were you. Trouble could be brewing. I doubt it's neurological but for peace of mind you may want to see one.

I did go to a neurologist and could find nothing wrong.  2 MRIs, ct scans, allergy testing and about 100 different blood tests.  Everything completely normal. The dr said he didn't think my problems are from drug withdrawal but didn't know what the cause was.  Of course this is the same dr that encouraged me to increase my dosage from 0.5 to 1 mg when I complained of interdose withdrawals. Maybe he just doesn't know how this drug can affect some people.  I really just feel like I'm shooting in the dark here.  I twitch and burn and jerk and feel stiffness at certain times with no rhyme or reason to it.  Can't seem to find any pattern.  The one thing I do know is that none of this happened before I started taking the drug.  I did suffer from insomnia and anxiety before but none of this muscle problems.

SCGuy:

I could be that the drug has turned on you. Just a wild guess on my part. Good luck. Have you thought of taking Flexiril?

Thanks I will look into that.  I wonder if my nicotine addiction of 26 years has anything to do with the affect benzos have on me.
