First day without any pills

The Ambien has run out. The Ativan is long gone. Tonight will be my first night without any relief from pills. I'm scared, but nothing I can't deal with. I've been scared before.

 

Tomorrow will be interesting, I'm sure.

I have refills of the Ambien and I'll probably refill.

 

The difference between Benzos and Ambien is Benzos never made me feel good. They just provided relief. Ambien, when combined with alcohol, makes me feel very good.

 

I had a physical addiction to benzos which, while not fun to overcome, was easier because I didn't miss them. I didn't have a craving for them.

 

I don't really have any physical symptoms from not taking Ambien (so far), but I miss that total relaxation that comes from taking an ambien and having a drink or two afterward.

 

I can live with the physical symptoms of benzo withdrawal. I'm afraid I'm going to need help with the Ambien. My brain likes it too much. I want it badly.
