Hey guys, well here we are on a friday night again at 6 1/2 months off 4 1/2 months of small daily klonopin use. I hear music coming from down the street faintly outside and hear people gathering socialize and have drinks and do some partying. Here I am at home laid up watching TV nervous and overstimulated by everything and thinking anything could trigger a breathing issue or panicky feelings. Then I get thinking i'll prob never be able to have a beer again and watching your friends just pass you by and forget you as you have withdrawn from society other than my Spouse and my Faith in God, seems like the only two friends I have retained during this whole episode. :( Anyone one else get sad and think life is passing you by or if you will never be able to interact and enjoy parties like you once did with the fear long gone. Anyone ever come out of this and go back to enjoying these things again, I am 26 so still young and want to enjoy life!!

I have these feelings all the time. Very very lonely. I'm also 26. It's a very strange thing to be going through. The good news for you is you're almost 7 months out! Major healing happens around 9-12 months. You're so very close!!

Yeah I had these feelings in the early stages but in my case I was determined to not let it beat me, when I was well enough I would go to friends' parties and I would just drink non-alcoholic beer - I found being in a social environment helped ease my symptoms as the social interaction distracted me from my withdrawal anxiety. Also I have some good friends that understood that I couldn't get drunk all the time so they would suggest doing other things like going to the cinema, late night shopping, restaurants etc. - all these really helped clear my lonely feelings.

Thanks guys for the encouragement, I really need that right now, I am just so tired of the racing mind and on the edge of panic and the feelings of things feeling unfamiliar to me when I've done and been to these places for years. The feelings of fear anexity and focus on my breathing can be gone already I'm sick of it, and I hate that it keeps dragging on since a lot of people have said they left theses s/x months ago!
