zoombie's life with zolpidem

looking for information on tapering off zolpidem first.

currently taking 3-5 10mg/night (every 3-4 hours)

Been on zolpidem for 20 years.

Temazepam is next; currently down to 20 mg/night.

Then lorazepam. Now approximately .5mg

From what I am reading it seems that the substitution method, with diazepam would work best for me.

I started tapering off Temazepam from 30 to 20, but now think that zolpidem is the priority because it has such a short 1/2 life.

The NP I see knows nothing about gradual tapering.
