My boyfriend was on 2mg of Klonopin for 2 months and tapered off in 1 month so he basically did a rapid taper/ct and he healed, was mostly in bed for a year he would take short walks when he could but most of the time he was being tortured in bed. It took him a year to heal and he is now 3 years out works out everyday (and looks damn good if I must say so myself), goes to school, rides his motorcycle and lives a normal life. So yes.

that sounds wonderful! that must help so much having someone really knowing whats going on! i am so terrffied all of the time, every single minute.

all those lies are getting to me. i read the benzo lies and i have them all but i believe them and it scares me!

do you have moments of 100% i feel not myself and awful ALL the time! it really freaks me out!!

I can't exercise either. Going by how I feel when I exercise I'd say no it doesn't matter. I get sick and anxious every time I try t o exercise. Now I just go for walks when I'm able to.

I think exercise can help but mainly by making the person feel better in general, better health. I doubt exercise makes healing happen any faster.

I cant do much myself, being partly disabled. I walk a little, and stay active around my house. Doing those things help me to feel better about myself and keep my muscles and joints mobile.

Why some of us are slow to heal remains a mystery. Some think that being on a benzo a long time, or going cold turkey, plays a role. Im betting there are genetics involved.

What truly matters is that we all heal, in time. That Ive had to feel bad for a long time doesn't seem so important now.

I think long healing has to do with a bad metabolism. Like having metabolic syndrome. Just a guess though but I have metabolic syndrome and many others I know going through this do too. Or it is genetic but I have ct benzos 4 other times with no problems. The 5th time I was sick for 2 months and this time grabbed me good!
