Hello BB's! Long time.

I have been off for 2 years this Nov. 5 and i have been doing truly amazing.

I have been running about 6 miles every other day and getting in the best shape of my life.

I started drinking coffee again and i was fine for the first 5 weeks then i started to get little symptoms of W/D.

Has anyone experienced this yet?

Thanks

Lexi  :);)

Hi Lexi, i think you would get some replies on the Protracted section , most people here

aren't even 18 months off. :)

That's awesome man..wish I could fast forward the clock lol. But I think your CNS will have diff periods of still being sensitive..and the caffeine will cause slight flares when it is..and its a stimulant I'd cut out the caffeine for awhile maybe and give it ago a bit down the line again.ease into it off and on..if you don't mind the minor WD symptoms it causes when sensitive..by all means drink away..but if not..I'd take a break break bro, coffee will always be around.

I am off and in month 6.  during my taper I couldn't touch the stuff. Couldn't even smell it LOL    Now I drink a cup a day and if I'm in a window two.  It sometimes will rev me a bit but I know what is causing it so I don't get bothered.  When I am in a wave like now I cut back.

BTW-congrats on feeling great.  Did you have a rough taper? When did you really start feeling better? Any comments on healing from people ahead of us are devoured like a wounded seal by a great white.

Glad to hear that you have been doing well.

I think it is possible that the caffeine had something to do with your flareup and Ashton mentions that stress usually precipitates these late game flareups, but I don't think there has to be any kind of cause or trigger for this to happen and you will drive yourself nuts second guessing every little thing trying to pinpoint something.

We have no trouble accepting that waves are a natural part of the wd process when we are a few months off but when we feel better it is tempting to try to find something to blame when things aren't going well. My guess is that this is nothing more than the natural progression of the window/wave nature of benzo wd and if you felt good before you will eventually get there again and the longer you are off the less the chances of getting these aftershocks in the future.

I'm so happy for you Lexi, great job man! Don't have much to offer in the way of caffeine effects, I've been having some the whole time to try and help with cog fog. Thanks for the update and hope things are 100% for you soon.

Thanks Everyone for your replays.

Greatly appreciated. :) <3

I didn't drink coffee today and guess what? I feel better lol

I guess ill chalk this one up as one more thing i have to wait to do till I'm 100% ;)

and Terry38 I was drinking probably 2 Grande Lattes a about 2 regular cups of coffee a day on top of not eating much and exercising like mad.

I shoulda known but when your feeling good you just wanna rush right back in to life.

Again thanks everyone. \m/\m/
