need to cut down my dose rapidly, need advice

I understand the tapering process is a long one that needs to be followed consistently and carefully. Yesterday I had no clonopin and went through cold turkey withdrawals for about 4 hours, it was scary because my mind literally could not form words into coherent sentences and experiencing panic attack and extreme agitation. Anyway I hustled over to my friend who also takes clonopin and he wasn't there. So I dipped into my valium and took 20mg,  then 1mg clonopin at night which completely threw my schedule out of whack. I Got A 2mg Clonopin This Morning And  im back on the taper schedule I've been consistently following the past 2 weeks. I'm on schedule 6 stage 1 and what's pissing me off so much is I don't have access to the supply of clonopin to do this! So the plan is to switch to valium, in the next month or so how on earth am I going to convince my brand new doctor to prescribe me valium in place of clonopin because he doesn't have a clue that I'm addicted and going by this taper schedule behind his back. Due to supply issues I need to cut my morning dose of clonopin from 2mg to 1mg. So when I do get to the point where I've tapered off clonopin and switched to valium,  how am I going to get my doc to prescribe it to me. I'm feeling like this right now :brickwall:

Alright just a quick update I'm scratching the valium all together because I'm tired of worrying about if a doc will proscribe it or not. His taper plan is 1mg in the morning and 0.5mg evening. I'm sick of worrying about this so I'll be cutting down from my screwed up taper plan to come off of 4mg daily to 2mg morning/0.5mg clonopin 10mg valium at night which is one of the Ashton manual taper schedules,  it is completely impractical because no doctor will consider it. Wish me luck dropping from 4mg to 1.5mg daily. I'm tired of stressing over the plans, pill supply and all the BS.

Just a little bit of wisdom from my experience. There is little to no help out there, there are no services that can help you properly in these kinds of situations. The only person you can ever truly rely on for anything or any kind of problem is yourself. It's like that pink floyd song that goes "is there anybody out there?", the answer is no, there isnt.

If you can't get the valium, I think you'll be able to taper off the klonopin.  I think lots of people on this forum have done that because it's also a long acting benzo.  You're right, if you have no family you are basically alone in this world.  I am thankful for mine, in spite of their shortcomings.  Good luck.

Nighthawk, I have my parents, but it is me who have to keep them up, so I decided not to bother them with my problems, withdrawal sympthoms...in that se se for me also "there is no anybody out there", but I try to think possitive...so that I need not only to survive, but also live my life.

I wish you the best during your taper.

Nighthawk:

Did you happen to remove a list of meds from your signature? I can swear that you were also taking varying doses of Xanax, valium, temazepam, Ativan, Flurazepam, Dilaudlid, methadone, hydrocodone, and codeine. Maybe I'm wrong?

Yes in the past, but not currently or within the past 2 months so I don't feel its relevant. I did experiment with many of the abusable pharmaceuticals, but none of them have hooked me like benzodiazepines.
