Can valproate and hydroxyzine destroy recovery???

My mother is now 4 months benzo free. She is very poor. She struggel with breathing. She feels she stops breathing. She feels she is being strangled.

She also got esophageal spasms during the withdrawal

She must also block the esophagus every week because it has become so tight that she can not eat. During the blocking the doctor must give her morphine because it is so painful. I am so afraid that the morphine she gets once a week because of the blocking  will delay her recovery.

 

I wonder one thing. My mother taking valproate (Orfiril) and hydroxyzine (Atarax) to help withdrawal symptoms. I say she must stop this, but she will not. She says it helps. I am afraid that these medicines affect the way that she will be healthy again. So my question: Can valproate and Atarax destroy and delay recovery during benzo withdrawal?
