Started taking diazepam 10mg, and switched to clonazepam due to the fact that the diazepam did not seem ike it was working. Had about a 3 week separation between them. After being on the clonazepam for 3 weeks my limbs especially my legs have a twitching and pins and needles feeling as well as weakness. Is this normal?

Hi Gman :) Welcome to BenzoBuddies!

In my opinion what you are describing are withdrawal like symptoms. Benzodiazepines because of their dependency should be taken for no longer than 2 or 3 weeks. You may already may be experiencing a tolerance to the clonazepam.

You might like to check out The Ashton Manual it is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.  Dr. Ashton is an expert in the field.  It is a great resource for understanding why you feel the way you do.

Please feel free to post to any of the dedicated boards, we have a wonderful community of people here, who will give sound advice. Members have been through all aspects of benzodiazepine use and withdrawal and are more than willing to share their experiences.

Please take the time to Create a Signature.  This will allow others to see where you are in the process so they can better support you.

Again Welcome!  :smitten:
