math question

My previous dose was at .875 mg.  I cut .125 to bring me to my present dose of .75.  How do I calculate to find the total percentage I just cut.  Sorry, I've never been very good at math.  :idiot:

Thanks!!

BunnyT, I could not tolerate cuts higher than .0625mg from just above 1.5 all the way to zero.  A .125mg cut is really quite large.  A .0625 is a quarter of a white .25mg Xanax.

Do you have access or can you get access to the .25mg pills?  They would make your taper sooooo much easier.

You cut .125 out of .875.  So divide .125 by .875 and multiply x 100% to calculate the percentage that you reduced by.

I get 14.3%.

Sorry to hijack this thread. Here's another math question. If I cut .125 mg out of 1.5 mg, what would be the % cut? This math idiot here tried to do the same equation and I came up with 12%. Is that right? Thanx. Bets

Nope-8.3%

Divide the "small: number (.125) by the "big" number (1.5)

.125/1.5=.083

Multiply by 100

.083x100=8.3
