Do I need taper after two consecutive nights of high dose Valium?

I feel really stupid and ashamed of myself, but for the past two nights I binged on my Valium. I hadn't had any for a few days so my tolerance was down, but then two nights ago I decided to take 30mg as I was feeling down and just wanted to float off to sleep.

The following night (last night) I was even dumber and decided to take 40mg, thinking that I'd need a higher dose due to tolerance. Again I floated off to a peaceful sleep, but today I realised  The two doses have left me feeling fairly depressed, and with that weird "after-feeling" benzos can leave you with.

What I wanted advice on, is should I take a lower dose tonight (say 20mg), then maybe 10mg the following night, to avoid any uncomfortability? Or should I be ok to take nothing at all tonight and try to get the drug out of my system.

As I mentioned, this was just a two-day binge, so I don't believe I would need to go on a taper for more than a day or two (if I do need to taper at all)

But would it be best to just not take it at all tonight and then just give it a rest for a while and next time take a safer dose of 5mg once my tolerance has dropped?

Thanks in advance for any replies and advice  :)

the general answer after 2 days of use will be no. Discontinue. However a better piece of advice would be to stop taking valium indefinitely.

BTW, who prescribed you 400mg of seroquel for sleep???? Seroquel loses its antihistaminic properties at around 50ish mg. 400mg is working purely as an anti-psychotic
