During taper ... question?

Hi All,

I have read it is good to wait until symptoms subside to pre cut level, before we take the next cut.

My question is: How long do we wait once symptoms subside before the next cut?

For example, if I feel a bit better on Sunday, is it OK to cut Monday, or should I wait 3 days or so?

I would wait at least a few days. I'm don't have any experience with Lorazepam, but valium is very tricky and can sneak up on you when you least expect it.

Waiting 3 days or so will be easier on your system. Waiting one day, a bit more challenging.  I wanted off lorazepam so badly, I was very agressive and stuck to a schedule, unless I was in a very bad wave on the day of my scheduled cut. In such cases, I waited until the wave passed. One solid day of calming sxs was enough to convince me that the next day was my time to continue cutting.

I tapered Xanax which is fast-acting like Ativan (Lorazepam).  I found I was able to cut again a couple of days after a cut but I usually waited three days after the symptoms appeared to be settling back down again...just to be sure.
