Has anyone tried this for there anxiety levels during w/d .    I have not but keep going back and forth.  They say most of our anxiety is chemical during wds.  But I am 7 months out and am for the most part house bound. Idk has this helped anyone?????  Ty

A psychologist is probably a better idea, a psychologist helps you through suggestion and changing the way you think about things etc. oh and they don't prescribe drugs!

Ty, I didn't know there was a difference..... This is not something I am familiar with.  But most of my physical symptoms are gone have been now for about 6 weeks BUT, the anxiety is still consuming my life. Maybe a little PTSD from this experience!  Any suggestions in what to look for in a therapist ect...

Probably a good idea to seek a therapist who has experience in drug withdrawal or better yet one that has experience in treating benzo withdrawal but I am yet to find one of them :/ Yeah CBT is good as it helps you to view negative thoughts in a more positive way - it's not for everyone though, some people don't get much use out of it but others find it helpful.

I think it depends on your financial situation and whether you have a couple of folks you can truly count as friends.  I just don't think psychologists are the perfect substitute for friends. The optimal point on the curve (i.e. where one extracts the greatest NET benefit from a therapist) is where you are wealthy and have no friends.
