Anxiety gets worse and worse

I am bi polar and haven't been on my lithium and prozac for about two weeks. Cold turkey from Xanax 4 months ago. I am going thru withdrawals and mainly anxiety-they get worse each day. When will it get better?

You are probobly experiencing withdrawals from both Xanax and Prozac right now. How was the anxiety pre-Prozac? Prozac can be used for anxiety relief. So, your body is just adjusting to having to deal with it all naturally. Its not dangerous, though. But, it sucks. Believe me. Im right there with ya Its my only symptom left. As for time? Who knows. The average recovery time for someone in Withdrawal is 6-18 months. But, the estimated time you are in acute (Where the symptoms are the worst) is anywhere between 7-90 days. So, just hang in there. Know that you are not alone in this and we are all here to help ya through the tough times.

For me it peaked at 8 months off and I did a partial reinstate and taper.  It helped me got off in the long run.
