Different doses two times a day, titration or dry cut??

My dr wanted me to take .25 and .125 in the morning and .5 in the evening.  If I used the titration method for two equal doses would it make a difference for a smoother ride or at that low of a dose it doesn't really matter?  Any advice is appreciated.  :)
