How hard is it to get through this process. About how much do you get.

I'm not sure of the process either.  My sister's bf gets disability and told me to go to their website, which is www.socialsecurity.gov and there is an on-line application.  I started filling out the application but stopped b/c I don't know how to explain this.  I just posted a disability question on BB too.  My question is, "when asked about the nature of your disability, how do explain this?  What diagnosis could possibly explain this?" 

 

As far as how much you get, I think it depends on how long you worked and what your earnings were while working......but I'm not really sure.  I was told that a lot of people are turned down the first time and have had to go through an attorney the second time in order to be able to get it.
