Start my valium cross over in 1 hour

I'm gona start my cross over to Valium tonight at 11pm.  Very nervous to do so.  Worried about unknown side effects.. Just looking for reassurance I guess, thanks

I hope it goes well for you.  No sense worrying about it - worrying doesn't help (I know that's a nearly useless comment, but try to minimize your concern).  You're probably smart for crossing over from Ativan.  I c/t'd from 2 mg, and it was pretty intense.

          Thanks for the response.  By the way,  I think its hilarious how you based your benzo recovery success by the number of beers you could consume without problems( in your signature) lol.

Congratulations!  I know you'll feel better I'm so happy for you!  Good luck on tapering after you stabilize.  You'll do great and be free in no time!

well false alarm, my anxiety was too bad tonight and chickened out again.  I feel like I'm gonna die with a bottle of pills in my hand.  Feeling very angry and pessimistic right now.  I'm gonna have to start my cross over in the morning when i take my first dose.  I'll never be able to do it at night when I'm tired, cause then the Valium will make me really tired then I will freak out thinking I'm having a reaction or my CNS is shutting down from mixing benzos together and end up in the hospital with panic attack and heart arrythmias .    I have the worst anxiety ever anymore and my mind is scrambled with racing thoughts and paranoia.  This ativan has me thinking abnormally.  Sorry nut have to vent.

I can't comment on the crossover process cause my knowledge is non-existent. I do know how it feels to be angry and pessimistic with racing thoughts and paranoia. Continue to vent, continue to talk, it helps.

I'm so sorry.  The Ativan is poisoning me, too and making my thoughts really bad.  I'm trying to survive day by day, but it's very hard to hang on.

If you do it in stages, you won't even know the difference, except you might feel a bit sedated for the first week or so. Best decision I ever made. Don't worry about, because you having nothing to lose but a lot to gain. If you feel it's not a good idea, then you can always switch back.

Well I just took1/2 my daytime ativan dose and was suppose to take 5 mg of Valium with it, but only took about 2and a half mg instead. Now sitting in Er parking lot waiting to see if something happens to me.  What a hell of a way to live.  Most people can just take a pill in the comfort of their home and go about their day without the fear that the pill will kill them or cause some crazy adverse reaction..  This is where my life has come to.  I look around at people walking around and wonder what it would be like to live in their head for a day, to see what it is like to maybe be somewhat normal.

Yeah it's not a very nice way to live at all. I can completely relate. I look at other people sometimes and almost hate them for not having the problems I have.

 

We can do this though. Countless people have, and have gone back to normal lives. I lost my partner, most likely my job (that I spent eight years training for) and my home of five years in the space of four months because of this crap. It sucks. But we can't stop fighting brother, we have to believe we will be ok in the end - BECAUSE WE WILL.

 

Keep talking it through on this thread, and as I said, if you ever need to pm me to vent about anything, please do. Stay strong man.
