Does Anyone Know Why We Have Windows?

I'm curious as to why we have windows.  Days of "normal" function, no sx.  Then BAM!!!  Sx hit hard out of nowhere.    Why does that happen?  Is it a chemical thing or something?

Anyone have any insight?

It just our bodies adjusting to the lack of the drug in our system . It adjusts / stabilises and then we do another taper and so on . This will eventually stop once off the meds completely

Yes, the windows and waves phenomena will eventually stop.  But this continues for most of us long after the taper ends.  Right up until we are healed.  This takes time.  And the time this takes varies greatly from person-to-person.

I believe the body is constantly in a battle trying to reach homeostasis, during benzo withdrawal as well as recovery.  Sometimes the body gets it right, (windows), and sometimes the body does not, (waves).  Eventually there are more windows than waves and then eventually a window opens and it never closes.  This equals being healed, in my opinion.
