Withdrawal or just me how do you tell

Hi this is probably going to be a hard one for someone to answer . I was put on Valium because I was diagnosed anxiety disorder and what they say moderate depression . I have always been up and down with my anxiety but must say I did improve . Since tapering off the Valium from 15mg per day I did not notice much difference still had the up and down days . Now I have reached 5mg per day past few weeks I have noticed things are creeping back in again . I'm finding it hard to distinguish whether it withdrawal or my old symptoms coming back , any advice please .

I am sorry you are feeling crummy but in my opinion you are having withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms are common during tapering. The goal of tapering is to minimize symptoms. It is normal to have the symptoms that got us on benzodiazepines to return once we are off. We just have to learn to cope with them in a different way than taking a pill.

Thank you for your reply , I must be coping better with my anxiety if it is withdrawal or I would be back to square one and I'm not . Maybe I need give myself pat on back lol . Once off the Valium should I feel better ?  Thanks tragaz
