Sleeping Pill

Would any of you break down and take a sleeping pill? I have been sleeping one to three hours a night  and many nights not at all since January. Cannot function anymore. Benadryl, Unisom, Trazadone, Flexeril, Vistaril--nothing works! I am afraid I am going to have a psychotic break. I cannot have my kids see me totally go insane. The trauma they have been put through already is too much from my being on the drugs and coming off them. I would kill for a night of natural sleep again. Very frightened at this point.

Did you ever tried Valerian? My husband took it very seldom, no more than once or twice per month when the really bad insomnia hit. It helped him sleeping in desperate times and it did not seem to affect the healing. Again, he did not take it on regular basis.

He took it in tincture form from Vogel.

 

Other thinks that help him overall to relax are inositol and glycine. These are not sleep aids but I think they really help with anxiety in the long run.
