Would appreciate Klonopin titration help

Hi there,

It has been a while since I have posted on this board. Several years ago Benzobuddies successfully helped me to titrate off of Klonopin that I had been on for 4 years! Unfortunately I had to resort back to 1mg of Klonopin about 4 months ago. I started Lunesta 3mg at the same time. Recently I went 4 days without my Lunesta while waiting for it to be refilled and am now feeling the withdrawal effects despite starting on it again. So at this point I would like to receive input as to how to water titrate off of both. My doctor has advised that is okay. I would like to start ASAP as I am already in the midst of withdrawal like symptoms.

1mg Clonazepam (Klonopin)

3mg Lunesta (generic)

180 ml/6 ounce bottle to use

I greatly appreciate your input! Blessings, Heather

Hi Heather,

There are several liquid titration methods being used on this forum and mine is in the link in my signature if you want to read about it.  BB member Diaz-Pam has a different method in her signature at this link that several members use and swear by http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=97511.msg1248599#msg1248599.

I personally would either combine both your meds to the valium equivalent, cross over per the Ashton Manual and taper just one drug as it is always possible that withdrawal from two very different drugs simultaneously could be difficult, or I would taper the lunesta first and then the klonopin.  Which ever method you choose I wish you good luck!

Thank you kindly for your response. There is much information to consider, but it's good to know that I can control the rate of the withdrawal. Thank you again for your help.

Blessings, Heather
