Heart racing every morning

No Ruby, I haven't, so far anyway.

But it is just plain w/d and your body hasn't had a dose for quite a while, plus your cortisol level has peaked so maybe that's why... Do you feel better after you take your morning dose of V?

Well it gets better after I take my beta blocker but I take that at the same time as my v. The v then makes me feel dizzy and weak and out of it.

Could you juggle your dose schedule of your beta blocker and the V to see what is actually helping you? I mean try taking each dose one or two hours apart. ~~ Bets

Yes my heart races. I switched my biggest dose to bedtime. This helped. I also listen to guided meditations on You Tube as soon as I wake up. Baylissa Johns is very good.

I don't, but I'm not surprised either. Its likely anxiety rebounding, possibly induced by low benzo availability in the body after an entire night in between doses. Just remember, high heart beat does not generally indicate heart attack or anything. Except for medical complications due to disorders, it's pretty benign. Give deep

Belly breathing a try when it happens.

Yes,

This happens to me every night at 3am, 5 am...and so on....it usually begins to settle down around 10am. I have been using "tapping" for some relief. But whew, it's rough!

Uggg, I really hate the sx. It does calm down once I take my v and metoprolol but then the v sedated me and makes me feel out of it and short of breath.

I just can't win for the life of me.

Does anyone else wake up every morning with their heart racing?

I woke up like that every morning during my first three months. I hated it. Cortisol levels are highest in the morning which cause the adrenaline rush. They are the lowest in the evening before bed, and that is why most of us feel our best at that time. As unpleasant as this early morning rush is, it is only temporary and in time will go away.

I read that baby aspirin lowers your cortisol levels so I've been taking two at night right before bed to help the cortisol rush I get in the morning. Seems to be helping.
