Hi, after wasting my teenage years up until early adult-hood with drugs I've decided to get clean. I've always been the anxious, depressed kind of person and I loved that drugs helped lift all those things away. I keep going on them until my depression got very bad, I messed up my life and my anxiety turned into panic attacks. So I've turned to ADs and Benzos ( Cipralex and Lorazepam amongst others) After using them for 3 months I hated them mostly the Cipralex since I was turned into a zombie so I quit.  And slowly got back to my old ways. Now 3 years later , I'm back on something called tianeptine and lorazepam.

I don't want to go back to the dark days of benzos and I know they are highly addictive. This time tinapetine seems to really work great and have no side-effects, not really near Cipralex. So I'm here to ask you guys a few questions. Hope I won't bother too much!

You might like to check out The Ashton Manual it is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.  Dr. Ashton is an expert in the field.  She describes and explains withdrawal symptoms,.

 

Please feel free to post to any of the dedicated boards, we have a wonderful community of people here, who will give sound advice. Members have been through all aspects of benzodiazepine use and withdrawal and are more than willing to share their experiences.

Its not clear if you plan to taper off the lorazepam (Ativan). We have a section dedicated to that subject, plus many others.

Tianeptine is a tricyclic antidepressant. Many of the "benzo-wise" doctors use these drugs for the antidepressant effects. They are an old class of drugs but many people find them helpful. They are known to help some people sleep better, reduce anxiety. They do have some side effects, like any other drug.
