If you are wanting to taper off of xanax you might want to start out on our General Taper Plans board. There you will be able to get some suggestions on a taper schedule that might work best for you. Of course we have plenty of other boards as well, so feel free to browse and ask lots of questions if you can't find the information you are looking for.

 

Are you familiar with The Ashton Manual? It is great resource for anyone who is withdrawing from benzodiazepines.

Welcome  Congratulations on getting off hydrocodone. How long have you been on Xanax? If you have been on them briefly you may be able to get off quickly. However if you have been taking them long term you will want to taper carefully to minimize withdrawal symptoms.  Again, welcome. Its always great to have a new member.

I have been on xanax for about 16 month, not  abusing but now that  I am off hydrocodone it seems not to be enough ... much anxiety!
