Is there a delay in symptoms with Valium cuts?

So I did a small cut from 3mg to approximately 2.75 mg on Friday. Its been 4 days since the cut, if I was going to experience any bad symptoms I probably would have started to feel them by now right? Is there a slight delay after cuts because of the longer half-life?

I haven't taken a long-acting benzodiazepine but from what I've read here, it would seem most people would start to feel a bad cut by this time.  The symptoms might continue to shake out for ten days or so but I would think you're good on this cut.

If you want to be absolutely sure you have "killed" each cut, at these lower doses it might be wise to hold for 3 - 4 weeks at a time and no less... I tried to revert back to 1 week holds as I cut so little but no bueno... TRAP advise 4-6 week holds and although that seems excessive, for a cut and hold method I think it's actually very wise due to the lag time in Valium withdrawals, you always want to make sure that cut is well and truly done with before making the next one... don't let impatience win because most of us get our asses kicked for it sooner or later, so take your time... as ultimately you will feel better for it when you get very low, time invested is less time spent suffering.

I was on V and my symptom lag was 10 days.  I really didn't feel a thing until day 10.  But I think Challis is correct that most people have a shorter lag.

I am on Librium, my symptom lag is usually day 4 but it can be as late as day 7 but usually 4, feel it for a week and then it starts to get better... Valium is a similar half life but Valium taper bods will hopefully chime in more...

Like I said, 3 week holds are wise... that way you know you got the cut done with, you're call if you go faster but it's usually not worth the hassle of trying to save a little time but it's hard to be patient... just try and enjoy the better days and forget about tapering until it's time to cut again... usually we need a few days wellness to truly level out anyway. Good luck with this cut.

I have been cutting my K every two weeks. But when it's time to drop the V C/O, my pdoc told me I will have to wait three to four weeks before I make another cut b/c valium's half life is just so long. ~~ Bets

Everyone's experience is going to be different. For me when I tried a cut that size I got hit on around day 3 or 4, and the side effects lasted for at least 2 weeks before I gave up and reinstated. I would personally wait at least 2 weeks before making any decisions about when to cut next.

I felt kind of funky on day 4 and it really hit me on day 8,9,10 when I did cut and hold.

Then I had to wait to feel a bit better for another week or so and cut again.

Why not pile on here..

I would feel it day 4 with a double peak - 6 and then day 9... usually clear by day 14. If the cut was WAY too much for me - I would feel it quicker!

Consensus would be wait 2 weeks and see! No rush
