Anxiety and Panic disorders

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have been dealing with anxiety and panic disorders for about four years now. During that time I've also been diagnosed with PTSD, and depression. I was taking xannax and attivan for a few years, originally prescribed to help with a breathing problem. I was up to 1 mg four times a day of xannax for a while, and roughly 30 attivan a month. I have currently finally been able to get off of them both, but it is very hard.

Hello kkracing, and welcome!  Congratulations on getting off benzos. It's not easy to do but ultimately it is worthwhile, and we're glad you've found us.  Here are a few links you'll find useful:

The Ashton Manual is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.  Dr. Ashton is an expert in the field.  She describes and explains withdrawal symptoms, and there is also a section with withdrawal/taper schedules.

Again, welcome!
