Hang in there BB's.

It does get better once you get down to a certain point where your body has no choice but to calm itself.

GABA uptake is real and the lower your dose gets...that is taking your taper slowly, the better you will feel.

Less Anxiety

Less Depression

Less Overall Withdrawal Symptoms

Just wanted to chime in to say...there is a end to this Benzo hell.

Good going bandman.

You know, it's strange, there are not many on this site that talk of things getting better at the lower doses, I am not quite sure why that is, I have more clarity now than before and lost the severity of many symptoms and some symptoms are now absent...

I think I still need to get even lower before I can truly say the whole thing gets better, anxiety is still a problem for me when it comes, I am wondering if and when those waves are a little less intense... I guess in some ways they are now but I think I need to get a fair bit lower to assess whether or not the anxiety gets better when the waves come... I would be happy for it to dial down just a little, it has to at some point.

I have heard a few on here say it gets better at 2 mgs Valium and under, others say 1.5 mgs but I think it all depends on how we arrived at those lower doses... if someone rushes it then maybe there could be some symptoms going on from the previous cuts and not so much from the lower doses themselves if I am making any sense.

It only seems right to me that with a slow taper things do start to improve as the dose gets lower, I mean, why would we taper so slow otherwise? As you say bandman, there has to be a time when the brain has to start working when we are on much less drug but oddly enough, not many talk about this part of the journey... in MY case there is an improvement but I am looking forward to getting even more of my mind back and if and when the mental stuff starts to lift, I will start to think this is really starting to happen... it's just so darn slow for some of us.

Well done so far on your taper, looks like you are doing a great job.
