Kava Tea? Bad or good for withdrawal?

Hi just wondering if anyone knew if drinking Kava tea would help repair the Gaba receptor or further withdrawal. I've done some research and I think that Kava Kava is supposed to make more receptor sites for Gaba to attach to but I'm still unclear. I am really interested in anything anyone has to say about Gaba repair etc...

Hi and welcome, notmyself.

I've seen some posts about kava so I'm giving you the link to Alternative Therapies & Supplements where you can read the sticky topics and/or post to the other members.  There's also a search function near the top right of the page.

Please include your benzodizepine information in your posts.  To make that easier by adding it to each post automatically, you can go up to Profile, choose Forum Profile, write the information in the text box and click Change Profile.

Take care,

Challis

Be very careful. The quality stuff is the root, it does provide some relaxation, muscle relaxation etc,  but it comes with a whole host of problems, potential liver toxicity etc.

It can also make you very unstable on your feet if you take too much, I should know I collapsed on it once and knocked myself out. It can also make you very sick if you take too much, again I know this as I took 5 spoons this morning and have been sick all morning...
