I am trying to figure out what actual dose of Lorazepam i am on.

For some reason i thought the pills were 1mg a piece in weight

So i bought a Gemini Scale to cut up my daily dose to stop inter- dose withdrawals

I was taking 1.5 mg per day of Lorazepam

When i got the scales i weighed the pills i had. One brand was .099 in weight annd the ones i was currently on were each apx. .120 in weight

Thinking that the pills had extra Lorazepam in them i split the dose by weight to .030 each or 1.5 mg

I am realizing i did something wrong in the calculations and thus why i might have experienced bad withdrawals.

Not too long after the initial cut ( 2 weeks maybe ) i dropped in dose (cut) to .027 in weight ( my current dose )

So i have been thinking i am at 1.35 mg but in reality i think i may actually be at 1.125 mg per day

The Dr. wants to cross me over to 15 mg of Valium thinking i am on 1.5 mg  BUT if i am really at 1.15mg

because of my bad calculations...i really dont want to updose that much if i have suffered to get stable at 1.15mg

If i am right at this point then i should probably start at 12 mg Valium

I am supposed to start my first substitute dose in 90 minutes :o

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I don't fully understand

Your pills (on the label) indicate that they contain 1 mg lorazepam.  Is that correct?

Those pills each weigh 0.120 grams?

Then what did you do?

fwiw - 0.030 grams would not be the same as 1.5 mg.  If 0.120 grams equals 1 mg, then 1.5 mg would require a pill mass of 0.180 grams
