Advice on xanax to klonopin transition --- please

Hello everyone.

 

Been on xanax 3 x per day for about 3 years now for panic disorder. .25am .25 mid .5 pm plus as needed. I started the switch to clonazepam last night. I am still prescribed 1 mg niravam (alprazolam) as needed. ----- wondering how to make the switch over smoothly?  I have plenty of both medications for the process. Just really concerned about the transition.

 

What I have on hand.  .5 mg clonazepams

                                .5 mg alprazolams

                                  1 mg alprazolams

Hello Wiz1212   Welcome to benzobuddies. Glad you found us, I have no personal experience with Xanax or Clonazepam.  I was on Valium. As far as I know, Xanax and Clonazepam are considered by Ashton to be equal in strength.  I am sure you will get plenty of advice and support from members here.
