Starting 2nd week of Ativan to Valium crossover...Valium is making feel so tired

Started my 2nd week of ativan to valium crossover from 3mg of ativan to 30 mg of Valium.

Yesterday, I increased my valium to 10MG and lowered my Ativan to 2Mg.

The valium is really having a strong effect on me. It makes me want to stay in bed and sleep.

I had a good night sleep and had a hard time getting out of bed.

I should addd I take 30 mg Mirtazapine as well.

Anyone have that happen before?

Ativan75 Hello

Just going to start my c/o and a bit nervous about tiredness too.

Have you had to deal with much symptoms besides that from getting off the Ativan?

Thanks!

Hope it goes well for you  :)

I recently crossed over from 1.5mg Xanax to what was supposed to be 30mg

Valium. My dr did not follow the Ashton manual and swapped .5mg Xanax for 10mg Valium weekly. I noticed the same thing after going to 10mg Valium, I had a hard time staying awake all day. I would sleep 8 hours and still crash during the day to the point where I'm falling asleep sitting up. After week two, 20mg Valium/.5 Xanax, I never felt so tired on my life. My family member said I was acting as if I was high or drunk. I feel so tired and noticed some depression. I ended up dropping the .5 Xanax and holding at 20mg Valium. Been at this for over 2 weeks. I still feel extremely sleepy and sedated. Today my therapist even made the remark that I seemed less articulate. I'm holding at the 20mg Valium until next week when I see my dr. I'm hoping my body adjust and this lets up soon This is just my experience, and I don't recommend deviating from what you and your dr have discussed. From what I read it is common to feel a bit tired when crossing over however it does  let up for most after a few weeks. Good luck!

This is all pretty common...

Most people go through that sedation phase, including myself. For most it ebbs away after about 3 weeks or so.

It made me sluggish, flat, tired, weepy.

After I completed my cross over, I felt much improved and took a few weeks to feel more stable and starting tapering.

IMO it is the initial sedation that's hitting you. I didn't even make it to the shower, that's how depleted I felt. It does get better once the sedation wears off. Which it will!
