Disturbing new symptom: Sleepwalking

My son (who is a night owl) informed me that I was sleepwalking Monday night. I apparently walked into the den where he was playing video games, stared blankly at him for 10-15 seconds, and left the room to go to the bathroom and then back to bed. He said he tried three or four times to talk to me, but I didn't answer. It scared him.

 

I know sleepwalking is a side effect of Ambien. But I've been taking ambien off and on for about six years and never have I walked in my sleep.

 

It's a one time event (I think), but it has me alarmed.
