New symptom almost 6 months out? Benzo belly?

Urghhh, physical symptoms are coming thick and fast this week, first it was crawling skin at the start of the week and now what I think is benzo belly. What I'm not sure about is whether this is just a stomach ache or it is indeed benzo belly. My stomach feels like it is twice as big as it should be and I can feel a lot of pressure just under my ribs, the pain is also terrible and it lasted about 5 hours tonight, couldn't do anything except lie down and moan, however, I don't have the protruding gut like when many people speak of benzo belly. Can anyone relate to this?

 

Also would painkillers be advisable? I have some cocodamol which I'm thinking about taking if it flares up again. I didn't take any tonight as I didn't have anything to do but if I get this during work I will need some relief - trying to minimise taking any meds!

            I have had "benzo belly" since tapering off Xanax.  Now and then. A great majority of gabaa receptors are located in

            our gut. There truly is a "gut" "brain " connection. 

 

            I can relate too. I have to lie down at time's.  It's slowly getting better.  I use Kefer probiotic and another for healing

            My entire digestive system.  Exercise is beneficial for healing imoho.

 

            Do a search for Benzo belly, to pull up any information. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your replay Notforme, I'll heed your advice and get some probiotic stuff in the afternoon. I have searched for benzo belly on the forums but most people say the symptoms are a protruding gut, tingling stomach etc. but not the quite severe pain and non-protruding gut  that I was having.

 

Oh yeah whilst I mention my physical symptoms, I had quite a scare last night - I nodded off for about 15 minutes then I was jerked awake with an almost deafening hissing sound which lasted for about 10 seconds which really freaked me out and revved up my anxiety for about half an hour

      I have had stomach pain, under my ribs also, especially at the beginning of my taper. I ended up in ER, which turned out to be

      gastritis.  I haven't had issues before, but in benzo withdrawal seems everything is up for grabs.

      Hissing sound, in your ears?  It's so unnerving to be woken up with anxiety,  fears etc AL
