Effexor XR 150mg 6 years. Anyone successfully come off this med?

They are like 500 beads per pill. How will I EVER reduce this med properly when the time comes. I wish I could do it now but I cant. Have to finish my benzo taper first then Gabapentin. Then Effexor and finally TraZoDone. I may not be med free for 10 years. How depRessing!!!!

Hello BenzoHell30,

I was on Effexor for 15 years and went off cold turkey in Jan. 2013.

DO NOT DO THAT!  This drug has some nasty withdrawal effects.

Ask your doctor to give you smaller doses, they come in 75mg and also as low as 15mg I believe.  Go slow.
