hydroxine and/or mclazine

Questions about hydroxine and mclaxine.....I have been prescribed hydroxine by my Dr. for random b/p spikes. I have been taking the mclazine 2x a day...am pm ...12 mg each time. I am 9.5 months off. Up until 2 weeks ago I was at a very functional 70-75% 9 days out of ten. Then I got head pressure back and b/p spikes back. My doctor prescribed the hydroxine but told me he was ok with a trial of mclazine first ..( as a hold off to propranolol)

.....Since taking the mclazine for a week I swear to god I am back in interdose tolerance and acute...seriously.Waking up with pounding heart...palps...sweats...elevated b/p. Cascading panics ( I have been free of panics for at least 3 months)...and depression. I know healing is not linear,  but this is exactly...exactly like acute at this time last year...a land of fear and anxiety..If the mclazine/hydroxine does not stablize the b/p spikes I will have to think about proprsnolol which I don't want to do if I can help it.

...I researched the mclazine and it does cross the blood/brain barrier and is an anticholinergic ( ? ..don't know what that is). It is antagonistic at H1 receptors and at the dopamine receptors Half life is 6 hours. ( dopamine receptors D1 and D2).

....The propranolol seemed even more problematic. It has a high brain accumulation and also inhibited noreprnephrine transporters. Lab rats became as addicted to propranolol as often as those who became addicted to cocain. The mclazine seems the least problematic but I am now suspicious that I am having w/d s/x ...

.....Does anyone have experience or knowledge with any of these medications...I would appreciate any comments as this is making me crazed. ...btw...the information I got about the drugs came off of wikipedia .....thanks so much....cooperten

I took Hydroxyzine for about two weeks. All the ones you've listed are basically in the antihistamine family. Usually the Hydroxyzine is suppose to reduce symptoms of withdrawal, so I'm not sure why it would cause symptoms for you? Maybe you are allergic to them? Have you ever had a problem with over the counter antihistamines like Benadryl? The Hydroxyzine helped me in acute withdrawal. Sorry for your wave.

I am not sure what your question is but I am taking hydroxyzine, have been for about 8 months, it has helped me sleep. Pretty much can't say anything else about it.
