No. Neither is Mylan. They use less of the actual drug and add in more inert ingredients to save $$. They also do so with Neurontin. The FDA just proved it so it's true. Avoid India-based companies.

Have you been using Teva previously, or have you just switched to that brand? If you've already been using it I wouldn't worry because that's what your body is used to and consistency is the main thing when tapering.

If you have only just switched can you take them back and exchange them for the brand you normally use? When I was using tablets I always used to write on the script the brand I wanted before I handed it in, because I didn't want to risk a change of brand half way through my taper.

Been on Diazapam for only 12 days I was oRiginally on mylans I read so much bad about them after a week I took the perscription into my doctor and told him to keep them cause they were making me itch.  So he wrote me a new script.  Nobody had Watsons anywhere and I didn't have any extra diazapam laying around so I just figured Rite Aids Tevas couldn't be as bad as Mylans. No I feel so damn stressed. My doctor is gonna think I'm trYing to pull a fast one on him if I bring in another full bottle next Tuesday saying "I don't want this generic Either. Ugh.... atleast tell me which out of the two has more vaLium in it in your opinion. I actually felt the mylans more but they made me itch. Tevas just make me flat out tired... zero euphoria but they don't make me itch. Ugh I'm so incredibly fRustRated my friend.

If the Teva just made you tired, and you have only just switched to diazepam, that is a perfectly normal reaction. Many people report feeling tired/fatigued when they first switch to diazepam, but that effect lessens over a few weeks.

Personally speaking I would stick with the Teva and see how you feel after a week or two. Most tablets should have the same amount of diazepam in them, even the generics. It's usually the fillers that are different.

But the Mylan diazapam didn't make me tired. Maybe I'm over thinking it all. If it was you and you could only choose between Mylan and Teva, which would you choose and why?

I don't know anything about either brand. I used Antenex which is a generic diazepam. Personally speaking I wouldn't worry about something until there is something to worry about. I know that's sometimes hard, and I've been as obsessive as the next person about my taper, but sometimes we think there are problems even before those problems are there.

So the pharmacy is willing to do a one time return. They ordered both Roche (name brand) and mylan for me. Mylan works well but makes me itch. Is Roche worth the $160.00. If I it truly is I'll pay it. Gotta decide by tomorrow.

So a choice of itching or $160. That's a tough one buddy. Is the $160 for a 30-day supply only? Do you have long term $$ that you can spend? My brand name benzo only costs me $45. But I am on the Medicare plan, plus regular insurance, so maybe that's why it doesn't cost that much. Don't know what I would do if I were in your shoes. Itching can be terribly annoying, but it is also annoying to spend $160. Those pharmas. What to do what to do.....Bets

How long have you actually been taking the Teva? It doesn't seem that you've given it long enough to find out how you are going to feel while you're on it. If all you're getting is tiredness, that is perfectly normal as an initial reaction. Lots of people complain of it, but it goes away after a while.

If it was me, I'd be sticking with the Teva for a couple of weeks to see how things go. $160 is a lot of money, especially if your taper is going to take a while. I never paid any more than about $10 for my tablets.

But if I can just guarantee myself quality with Roche the money is worth not having to worry about it. I spend too much time constantly worrying.

Frankly you can't guarantee anything with benzo tapering. It's your call of course, but I personally wouldn't be spending that much on a medication, unless I found I absolutely had no other alternatives. However, if you can afford it go with the Roche, but at the end of the day it might be no different to the Teva anyway, but the only way you are going to know that is to try both and compare how you feel. I'm afraid no one can give you any definite answers on your dilemma.

I only pay $2.50 for each generic script. Lucky me.
