Focusing on my breathing!?!?

Hey guys, I asked this once before but it has gotten better but has returned! I despise this so mucmy withdrawal would be so much easier if I was not focusing on my breathing day in and day out. Some days it's gone but a lot of days some triggers get me especially if I have a trigger, like 3 days ago it started when laying on the couch watching tv, now 3 days later I am just finally starting to get relief and wham go lay down in the couch and it's starting all over again like that trigger is going off in mind and my brain wants to directly focus on it again. I hate it! Anyone with similar problem, could this still be withdrawal?? I can't believe 4 1/2 months of daily klonopin at low doses could whack me so bad for so long! Tommorow will be exactly 5 months and I have noticed I'm significantly better than two months but this focusing on breathing and worry from it drives me crazy!

Sounds like the couch/TV is the culprit.  ;)

I think that a lot of us have had some sort of breathing issues.  I'm certainly more aware of my breathing than I used to be.  I think that many of us use controlled breathing to control our emotion/anxiety.  You didn't really say what your breathing issue was (or maybe I missed it).  Does it feel like asthma or like you can't get enough oxygen?  Does it only occur if you recline?  Whatever the cause, I think that it will resolve in time.  Mine did.  Try not to worry about it.

I had this in the first 4 months of withdrawal, I think it was caused by anxiety... for some reason my I thought I wasn't breathing enough and I might die. I actually found that the best way to cure this issue was to focus on my breathing more and perform breathing exercises, so what I did was for about 10-15 minutes I would breath in through my nose for 5 seconds, hold for 3 and breathe out through my mouth for 5 seconds and repeat.

Maximillian your symtomps are similar to mine I notice I have it bad for a

Week or so after a stressful event. It's like I'm focused on my breathing to keep myself breathing! When I don't feel myself breathing that's when I focus on my breathing

Again! Drives me nuts! Any one else thanks so far guys anyone have anything similar?
